Wall-mounted basin taps are designed to fit into a recess in your wall and can be either electric or mechanical.
This type of tap is very convenient as they don't require any floor space at all! hydraulic basin mixer taps, in contrast, require a hole in the floor that is slightly larger than the basin taps. You then have to drill a hole into your wall and line the hole up with the valve of your choice.
